Oh mystery, don’t bury me
In your hands, In your hands
Take me back, face the facts
I am weak, I am weak
Let me walk in your grace
Let me feel the air of peace
Let me stand for what is right
Let me walk in path of light
A child’s face, a worn out place
In our hands, In our hands
On TV screens and in my dreams
My heart hurts, my heart hurts
When morals are lost
To the wealth of gain
He finds no host
In this evil game
Take me back, the man in black
Hold our hands, hold our hands
Speak gentle words, now rarely heard
Mend our hearts, mend our hearts
Chorus

Christmas Eve (Peace be with you)
Have a great Merry Christmas...and peace to you and your family
Snow is gently falling, the cat’s under the tree
Snow is gently falling, the cat’s under the tree
Joyous light is calling, new hope for us to see
Winter is here, and nothing to fear
Friends are in town, and comfort abounds
Peace to you, Peace to you,
God’s peace to you, Peace.
Church bells are sounding, the parking lots full
The eve service starting, racks packed with wool
Jesus is here, and nothing to fear
Good friends around singly heavenly sounds.
Peace to you, Peace to you
God’s peace to you,
Peace.

So Why?

As I sit here in the middle of a fast food nation,
I can not fathom life in the middle east desert.
The sounds, the smells, the assault on the senses.
Could they fathom my life a good world apart?
I need to find words, ambition and opportunities
They cry to find peace, freedom and equality.
In the end we’re not much different you see.
But our culture has formed our assumed reality.
So I sit with a full belly and free woman around me
While they wander from one check point to another
I might be the evil person that they perceive
But equal religions, races, and sexes are the right order.
So how do I reconcile Law or Cultural Tradition
Do I find right words in the Torah, Bible or the Koran?
I suspect that these great books have the direction
Live humbly with love for others as a plan.
So why are we still fighting?
